Do I need to take the element out of the covers to heat it or cool it?We always recommend you remove the element from its pouch and only place the element in the microwave. Does the Microcore® element contain anything harmful?Our elements are Non-Toxic, Non-Staining, and Non-Irritating. Can I buy covers only for my Microcore® element?Yes, we have these in stock, just give Customer Service a call and they will be glad to help you. Is it a moist heat?Yes it is. Delivers a deep penetrating moist heat. Does it last forever?No. It has a limited life span. Usually 3 years or 300 heatings. If it swells up when heating, is it safe to use?No. Discontinue use and order a new one. How long does the heat last?Stays very hot for 1 hour and warm for 2 hours. If it develops a leak, can I still use it?No, put in trash and order a new one. Can they be used cold?All of our packs can be used hot or cold. Can I freeze it?Yes but it will freeze solid. What if I want a flexible cold pack?Put it in the fridge overnight. Can it be used for food carriers?Yes, physical therapy or food transport. My dog bit into it, is it toxic?Absolutely not.
